Costa Rica!

So, I'm in San Jose, Costa Rica, now, studying Spanish at Intensa Language Insitute. The city isn't very pretty, but people are nice here. I went to the beach last weekend and to the rain forest with my friends, Kevin and Tammy. No tan whatsoever!
Got bumped up two levels in classes for this week. This weekend, I'll be going to San Lucas, a private-access type of island that used to be used like Alcatraz for the US. Some friends will be doing an archaeological dig there and a kayak trip to there. So cool! They invited me to do vertical training with them the following weekend and maybe cave the next! Yay!
Anyway, can't wait till dinner tonight! I'm so hungry!

Congratulations on getting bumped up two levels in your classes, Kayla! It sure sounds like you're getting to experience Costa Rica to its fullest. Make as many wonderful memories as you can while you're there. Amazing that people everywhere can be so nice, friendly, and generous even when they have so very little, isn't it?! Changes your world view of wants and needs, too. Take care! I look forward to more updates as you have the time!!!
